1. Akshardham Temple:

A personification of spirituality, culture, and architecture, Akshardham Temple is one of the most significant shrines in Delhi. It includes bigger gardens and an extensive collection of antiques. The Hindu temple and cultural site is dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan; therefore, with its exquisite infrastructure, the temple has made its straightforward way to the Guinness Book of World Records.

  • Timings:  9 am to 7:30 pm 

  • Entry Fee: No entry fee but to attend exhibitions and musical fountain fee will be applicable.

  • Exhibition Fee: INR 160 to INR 260.

  • Musical Fountain Fee: INR 60 to INR 90.


2. Hanuman Temple, Jhandewalan:

Jhandewalan Hanuman Temple is another famous temple in Delhi. It is popular for its 108-foot-tall statue of Lord Hanuman, which can be easily spotted from the Delhi metro station of Karol Bagh. Another fantastic fact about the spiritual place is its peculiar entrance, which resembles the form of God's lip. Although the temple remains open seven days a week, you can expect heavy crowds on Tuesdays.

3. ISKON Temple:

The popular ISKON Temple of Delhi is also recognized as the Hare Rama Hare Krishna Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Krishna. It is one of the most visited temples in Delhi and is known for its rich religious significance. The enormous architecture of the Temple was designed by the well-known architect Achyut Kanvinde. The temple's engraved carvings show scenes of the iconic Mahabharata.

  • Timings: 4:30 AM to 1 PM morning, 4 am to 9 pm evening every day.

4. Birla Mandir:

The spiritual place is one of the top temples in Delhi. Among devotees, it is also known as the Laxmi Narayan Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Vishu and Lakshmi. Significantly, it is the first largest Hindu Temple in India, spread over 3 acres, and it was built by Jugal Kishore Birls from 1993 to 1939. Mahatma Gandhi inaugurated the temple and ensured all caste people would be allowed in temple premises.

  • Timings: 6 am to 12 pm morning, 3 pm to 9 pm evening daily.

  • Entry Fee: No entry fee.


5. Chhatarpur Temple:

The auspicious Hindu Temple is dedicated to the Goddess Katyayani. It is one of the oldest temples in Delhi, founded by Baba Sant Nagpal in 1972, and is considered the second largest temple after Akshardham Temple. It is situated in Chattrapur, South Delhi, and devotees admire this site for its religious significance as well as for its spectacular architecture.

  • Timings: 6 am till 12 pm morning, 4 pm till 10 pm evening every day.

  • Entry Fee: Entrance is free.


6. Shri Jagannath Mandir, Hauz Khas:

The famous Mandir in Delhi, Shri Jagannath Mandir, is a replica of the iconic Jagannath temple in Puri, which is situated in Hauz Khas. This temple is highly visited by the Oriya community in Delhi since Lord Jagannath is the most worshipped God in the area. The Delhi spiritual site is home to the Sudharshan Chakra, Balabhadra, and Maa Subhadra's idol. The best time to visit the temple is during the popular Rath Yatra Festival.

  • Timings: Close at 10 pm daily.

7. Kali Bari Temple, Delhi:

It is one of the oldest Kali temples in Delhi, nestled in Connaught Place and close to the Laxminarayan Temple. The auspicious temple is most visited during the Durga Pooja Celebrations to seek blessings. The amazing fact about the temple is that there has been no change in the traditions of the Pooja ceremony since 1936.
